“The council of the city of Cologne decided on 29 September 2017 to use the Sustainable Development Goals as foundation for actions and to fulfill this commitment. The city of Cologne is the main applicant for Culpeer4change. What is special about is the focus on Climate Change, Children rights and Migration which is part of the European responsibility. Beyond that the dialogue with young people from the Global South who are especially affected by the consequences is of particular importance.”

We have been developing the cultural peer learning approach with partners all over the world for around 20 years. We are excited to see how this approach will be adapted in schools in other European countries to drive global change.

Ein großes Anliegen ist es uns, intelligente und engagierte Menschen zusammenzubringen, um gemeinsam für eine nachhaltigere Gesellschaft aktiv zu werden - sozial und ökologisch verantwortlich. In diesem Zusammenhang sehen wir dieses Projekt als eine große Chance, die Bildungsarbeit in die globale Entwicklung einzubinden, damit junge Menschen dabei unterstützt werden können, ihre Rolle als Global Citizen mit Verantwortung in einer sehr guten Weise zu übernehmen. Wir freuen uns auf eine gute Zusammenarbeit mit tollen Lernerfahrungen.
